Cycling for Health is a community cycling health and wellbeing programme supporting adults in the Stewartry and Nithsdale area to be more physically active.
Sustrans Scotland deliver Cycling for Health in collaboration with the Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership and Dumfries and Galloway Council.
What Is Cycling For Health?
Cycling for Health provides cycling tuition for adults that focuses on building confidence and improving your health and wellbeing over 8-16 weeks. There is no cost to participate in the Cycling for Health programme.
The Cycling for Health Officer will work individually with participants of all abilities, finding ways to get you moving on a bike, ebike or trike. Sessions are usually 1-2-1 and tailored to your needs and goals, working at a pace that suites you, and fun!
There are also opportunities for small group rides to discover local routes.
Why not give it a go – Cycling for Health welcomes people who have:
- never learnt how to ride
- not cycled for many years
